知ってる方は知っています木工雑貨を作るイベント作家ですが
今回は絵描きのぽっぽじいじをご紹介します
時は２０００年、バブル崩壊の嵐の中リストラの名のもと職を失った私は独学で水彩画の世界に没頭しました
描くにはむつかしいと敬遠しておりました石鎚山でしたが
リチャードさんの『明ける』への投稿写真に触発され挑戦してみました
べニア板にパテを塗りたくり凹凸を付け,絵の具はアクリル水彩を使いました
アクリル水彩は乾けば何度でも塗り重ねのできる油絵のような絵の具です
憧れの片岡球子風タッチに挑戦です Picture 1: I tried to paint with the style of Tamako Kataoka (see Tamako's "Red Fuji" below)

１回目の塗り重ねで少しらしくなってきました
After painting over my first paint, it seems a bit closer...
いい感じになってきましたが下半分がどうも寂しい

私事ですが６月10日に近所に住む義兄が永眠しました
死期を感じていた兄は自分で遺影を準備しておりました、その額の裏にコピーされた石鎚山の絵が出てきました
なぜこの絵を入れていたのか、今となっては誰にも分かりません
この絵は棺の中へ納めました

Unlike acrylics, we cannot paint over and over with transparent watercolours; we cannot make any mistakes.
透明水彩は一発勝負で書き上げなければなりません。失敗は許されません

Message of the Week
Hello, I'm Harumi Hoshika, also known as Poppo Jiiji. As some of you know well, I'm a woodworker, but today let me talk about me as a painter.
Back in 2000, under the influence of the collapse of so-called "bubble economy", I left my job and immersed myself in watercolour paintings: without any formal lessons, I just taught myself. Since then, I have been thinking that Mt. Ishizuchi is too difficult for me to paint, but very much inspired by beautiful pictures posted by Richard-san in his essay on the 17th, May, I decided to make a daring challenge. Please have a look at Pictures 1-4 above. I used acrylics; you can add wet paint over dry paint making very thick layers like oil paints.
Here, let me talk about another painting of Mr. Ishizuchi. On the 10th of June, my brother-in-law passed away. He knew that the day would come before long and had prepared his framed photo to be used at his funeral. In the back of his picture, we found the photocopied picture of Mt. Ishizuchi(=Picture 5). Nobody know why he had put this in the frame, but we put this painting in his coffin.
Was it his favorite picture? Did some friend of his paint this? Anyhow I decided to copy this painting. This time, I used Conté pastel and transparent watercolours (=Picture 6).
I am going to make a wooden frame (because I'm a woodworker!), and dedicate this to my sister Eiko.
